This is a change from my shots of colour that i usually see. There is something about this that i like even though there is no colour.

Interesting shot. You might have jumped up to f8 to sharpen the edges on the moon, but the subject itself is excellent. I think I'll try something like this one of these days, too. (If the weather would clear up around here!!)

It is the real moon yes, this was taken during the Lanar Eclipse on 4th March.

Very cool -- it reminds me of the Norse myth of the end of time, when the Fenris Wolf eats the moon. It looks like he took a bite out of the bottom :)
